Review and testing monitor DEXP W240

Review and testing monitor DEXP W240

The design of modern monitors changes rarely occur. Producers generally stay the course and only occasionally spend a little cosmetic “facelift” with the release of the next model.

And because not all companies are willing to invest in the development of a new design, it is often faced with displays of different brands, which are very similar to each other. But this is another reason – even the big players do not produce ourselves monitors acquiring party have known contractors – Qisda, Winstron, TPV and others. Practical and profitable to order what has long been developed: change the color of the body, write firmware and paste your logo – that’s the new model is ready.

It is deja vu for me and happened when removed from the box of the new 24-inch monitor DEXP – model W240.This is neither good nor bad because the price here is quite competitive. But here’s where it came from deja vu, and that, in fact, is a display to tell on. Proceed.

Testing Methodology

This article is written by the procedure, dated January 27, 2012. It is based on the experience I have in the last couple of years working with monitors (both as an author of articles / tests, and a man who is constantly faced with the setup and calibration of different models of displays). Of equipment used equipment company X-Rite (two different colorimeter and spectrophotometer one reference), and as a software – only freeware programs and utilities.

Obtained using the new method results can be easily compared with all other materials published until February 2012, except for a couple of moments.

Background

Model DEXP W240 is a 23.6-inch “frameless” display with Full HD PLS matrix production of Samsung, which is available in the current financial situation for 9500 rubles.

Direct competitors (if we consider the segment of 23 to 23.8 inches) are comparable to other brands – from 9000 rubles. Similar in design to display ASUS, but with other materials in the decoration, a wide selection of ports and announced a bunch of technologies will be released in 14 000-15 000. The difference is much greater. For Samsung product at exactly the same matrix as in the W240, will have to pay 12 000-14 000. Conclusion – there is a choice and it was good. In general, it is a good opportunity for a little-known brand to express themselves with an affordable quality solution. Competitors in this price segment in DEXP there. Well, interesting to see how W240 will look at their background.

On the basis of the reported data and DEXP matrices produced in the second quarter of 2015, the model W240 uses AD-PLS matrix LSM236HL01 manufactured by Samsung. With 23.6-inch diagonal resolution is 1920 x 1080 pixels. Matte screen surface. The aspect ratio of the standard – 16: 9. Viewing angles, the claimed response time – the norm for IPS-type solutions of this class.

Of the features, DEXP W240 can distinguish white glossy body, “frameless” design (not all competitors can boast of them), touch-sensitive controls, and a fairly low price. Ergonomics limited ability to tilt stand, VESA mount available. Two interfaces for connection – economical option for the producer and sufficient for those who have more than one HDMI and one analog D-Sub nothing.

Scope of delivery

Monitor DEXP W240 comes in a conventional cardboard box.

On the packaging shows the name of the model, the size of the diagonal and some basic features.

There you can find a couple of company logos and photos of the device.

Review and testing monitor DEXP W240

Dimensions (height and width) package largely correspond to the product itself. For easy carrying plastic handle present on the top and one side cut-out.

That is why the box is so strong “crippled” tape courier service and other stickers. Perhaps her have any factory sticker with information about the date of manufacture, serial number, and other information, but due to circumstances they can not see.

Supplied DEXP W240 includes the following:

  • Power cable;
  • External power supply;
  • Cable D-Sub;
  • Warranty card with the terms of the guarantee;
  • Instruction manual.

Even without taking into account the cost of the class monitor and we can recognize that the package is maximally simplified – all at a minimum. And since we’ve been living in a digital age, I recommend purchasing a separate HDMI cable. Do not use the same in 2015 analog D-Sub. It’s somehow not serious.

The use of W-LED backlight in the case of W240 possible to reduce the thickness of the shell and probably save on the electronic part of the unit. Throughout the testing at different settings for monitor brightness remained silent, so it can be recommended to fans of silence and just “silent freaks.”

Design and Ergonomics

Externally DEXP W240 is very similar to ASUS MX239H / VX239H, but mostly made of white glossy plastic. Belonging to a particular price segment produces no metal and chrome inserts. But “frameless” will not go away and do internal frame here even a little less than the ASUS, thanks to a matrix – PLS Samsung.

Through the use of LED backlighting W240 weighs 3.38 kg in the collection (data from the official website) while getting rid of cradle figure drops to exactly 3 kg.

The display housing, as befits a modern solution, thin, with some thickening downwards. 95% of all the elements are made of a glossy white plastic. The remaining five percent – gloss black edging as the body and interior decoration of the central rack or stand.

The center stack is attached to the bottom of the case. With a strong desire to disconnect it can be, but there is no sense in this – VESA compatible mount at the W240 is not provided. If you look at the pictures, you can see the metal hinge on which everything rests. So it is not a plastic one! Is a plus.

The user will need to connect the cradle to the central column, using a screw and Phillips screwdriver.

Round pedestal with free space in the center – a good option for users to always keep a phone, tablet, or something very necessary.Stand fairly stable. System cables (cable-management) is completely absent.

Build quality is generally worthy W240. Between the parts, there are small gaps, the body, despite its small thickness, barely susceptible to twisting and almost no issue, in this case, no sound

On the black gloss, as always, remain clearly visible fingerprints and minor scratches, and white – the dust settles from the air. Gently clean it is not always easy – in this regard white satin moody.

Rigidity attaching the stand to the central column as the column itself to the body – is quite high. Monitor stands confidently on his “feet.” No major complaints.

Through the application of gloss on the lower frame on her well manifested all the reflections from the screen. Not very successful experiment on the nerves of the user.

As a result of the build quality and materials used can be set at four points out of a possible five. The monitor is made clearly better than its counterpart in the shop – VB-275 from the previous review.

As a demonstration of the use of a matte surface and “frameless” design is a photograph above. The air gap is absent. The internal frame around the edges of the matrix is minimal and is not more than 4-5 mm.

The main body of W240 can be found only one company logo.

At the back of the monitor block for connecting cables are the following connectors oriented ago: food, analog D-Sub and digital HDMI.

Review and testing monitor DEXP W240

Here you can find two stickers. By first becomes known production date (January 15, 2015 – does not agree with the data from the service menu), manufacturer (OOO “Factor”) and the fact that the components are manufactured in China, and the Russian assembly. The second warns against self-opening and repairs.

When considering the same photo may seem that the hero of the review have built-in speakers, however, I have to disappoint you – for two rectangular areas with perforation nothing. Possibly in other versions of the display they will be involved, but the W240 is not concerned.

With the monitor stand ergonomics DEXP all sad. Available only tilt in the range from -5 to +25 degrees. If really necessary, then, as the model ASUS, the monitor can be tilted forward for easy cable connections. However, for this it is necessary to apply more force than the installation of the slope in the standard terms.

Alignment panel is made of four and a half points out of five. Rigidity, as noted earlier, almost exponential. Most fasteners made of metal.

Another surprise is the base of the stand made of black glossy plastic, which are glued five rubber feet. They are, incidentally, not much change in the limit position of the monitor on the table, it is possible, on the one hand, be taken as plus. Go ahead.

The menu and control

Management DEXP W240 comes through four touch keys (plus one touch power button) located on the bottom of the frame on the right side of the housing. Each of them is marked with an indication engraved action.

Near the power button nestled green LED, which is essentially an effect during operation – it is small and rather dull.

The controls are very simple and does not require getting used to. Is that to work at night or simply the absence of external lighting will have to remember the location and function of each button. Sensors are activated without delay and random keystrokes.

Among the options are present with quick access to adjust the brightness, contrast and automatic adjustment with analog connection.

Now consider the structure of the main menu, hidden behind the corresponding button.

The design is not made in the previous example to test the VB-275, in which he was more modern. Immediately seeing a picture of the time of Windows 95. Something similar we are seen in many models Crossover.

In the first section, you can adjust the contrast, brightness and color temperature (several modes and the ability to manually adjust the RGB Gain). When using a D-Sub available items “Avtogeometriya” and “Auto Color”. The second section via a digital connection is blocked, but it is intended to manually adjust the position of the picture on the screen.

Select your language localization menu, the OSD position on the screen, and its appearance can be in the third section.

Choose one of three predefined presets, determine the source of the signal to switch the operating mode and disable the built-in scaler manufacturer offers a dynamic contrast in the fourth section.

Note that, despite the disabled features DCR, the default for some reason she still continues to work, which is very noticeable and an eyesore. To turn it off, you must choose the menu position On. After that blocked the ability to adjust the brightness and contrast, but the brightness is no longer ride. Miracles, and only.

Interesting and more – if you make a full factory reset from the last – the fifth section, the first time DCR really stops working, being in position Off. However, after some time again miracles continue. And to get rid of them, I have to first put the desired brightness and contrast, and then choose to disable DCR On DCR. A strange move by the manufacturer.

With access to the service menu, the situation is no less interesting. It comes out when he wants by pressing the softkey Menu.Maybe from the fifth to tenth times, and may have the second. The monitor does not have to shut down and re-enable pinching some buttons. Enough to work with standard OSD, and then, if you’re lucky, the next time you press the Menu window will appear, as in the photo above.

Of the found – most likely, production date November 18, 2014, firmware version V236, the actual name of the model DW236EN.The first two letters of the name converge with the data from the program Argyll – Daewoo Electronics – apparently, it’s a real monitor manufacturer. Among the available settings in the service menu – the color temperature adjustment for multiple presets DH. And nothing more.

Review and testing monitor DEXP W240

Test Results

Color gamut

The monitor is installed W240 AD-PLS panel. Check it on the example of the color gamut of 23.6-inch novelty DEXP:

This has been tested at the factory setting the display mode PC. The submitted screenshot shows that two of the three reference points are shifted markedly in space relative to sRGB standard. The excess color range is observed exclusively in the yellow-orange region.But the drawback inherent in all other areas except for areas with a blue tint. The result is below average.

Final results matching color gamut monitor standardized spaces with the default settings:

  • sRGB – 77% and 83.1% after adjustment and calibration;
  • AdobeRGB – 56.3% and 60.6% after adjustment and calibration.

Let me remind you that all values were obtained in the comparison mode Absolute, with a cut-off of colors and shades outside the reference range. Final results without calibration were found to be 77% of the standard sRGB, and after appropriate procedures figure unchanged at 83.1%. For modern monitor on PLS- or IPS-matrix is not the best results – at affordable matrices installed in laptops.After manual setup and calibration is getting better, but still not up to the outcome indicators competitors even when the factory setting.

As for colors, superior considered standards in different preset modes, it is worth noting that you can fight them known method – the use of ICC / ICM profiles and software that support the color management system (CMS). Among them: the company’s products Adobe, Google Picasa, XnView, Photo Viewer Windows (7/8 / 8.1), Firefox, Google Chrome (you must prescribe a special key in the .exe file) and others.

Brightness / Contrast and key performance indicators color

In consideration of the monitor has three preset image. By default, the PC Mode with the following settings:

  • Brightness – 100;
  • Contrast – 80;
  • Color Temp. – 6500K.

Let us study the results shown in the table below:

White spot brightness in most modes is at a high level. The contrast ratio is in the range from 286: 1 to 331: 1 – it is not a joke and not a bug. I am a long time wisely with the settings used a special patch for GPU Nvidia HDMI when connected (used it more than ten times!), Connect a monitor via an adapter HDMI-DVI-D – no effect.

At the first measurement figures were different (1400-1700: 1), but it turned out that the system works dynamic contrast, effective only in the derivation of solid white or black backgrounds on the screen. If somewhere within it lock box with another program, the DCR stops working and the measured contrast ratio (real, not at the expense of short-term changes in brightness) are several times lower. This is not very good.

Setting the white point very lame. Deviations ranged from 15.2 to 24.1 units DeltaE mode Movie – low rates. The results of the average range immediately make it clear – the exact color reproduction is too early. Further acknowledges receipt deviation DeltaE94.

For 100 nits of brightness, color temperature 6500K white point in the other, and improvements in Standard Mode have been exposed to the following settings:

  • Brightness – 55;
  • Contrast – 70;
  • Color Temp. – User (115/103/120).

We monitor W240 (unlike the older VB-275) with adjustable brightness and contrast are no surprises and surprises. Reduced brightness by adjusting settings for Contrast, which helped to improve the gamma curves, and color temperature has returned to normal after adjusting the RGB Gain.

Let’s look at the results of the changes:

After reaching 100 nits Contrast Ratio decreased to 216: 1. Problems with the white point disappeared. The average gamma value not changed much. The average deviation of color was reduced to exactly 5 units DeltaE94, but the maximum, on the contrary, has increased to 12.19.

After calibration, the white point slightly changed, and the average value range come close to our “REFERENCE”. Deviations DeltaE94 fell several times and totaled 0.43 and 1.49, respectively. A very good result, but the contrast ratio and color gamut could be better.

Gamma curves, gray balance and results UDACT

With this program HCFR Colormeter colorimeter and calibrated X-Rite Display Pro I studied gamma curves in all the above modes, as originally preset and custom-designed. In addition, the measurements made possible to estimate the divergence of gray wedge (dots black and white gradient) on CIE diagram and draw conclusions about the prevalence of a parasitic hue, or it they do not exist.

Standard settings gamma curves – below average. The same applies to the location of points of black and white gradient on the CIE diagram. There is a prevalence of parasitic greenish hue.

Initial test results UDACT bad. But with these gamma curves, gray balance and color gamut differently and could not be.

Two additional modes are set is not better. I do not advise to use them if you are interested in any way accurate color.

Made manual adjustments in PC mode enabled cope with problematic blue channel and achieve full legibility of extreme light tones – took a glut in the 95-100%. Point black and white gradient shifted to the desired area on the CIE chart and were located quite close to each other.

Monitor in this form shows more optimistic results in the test UDACT, rather than at the factory setting. The ideal, of course, far away, but in terms of white and gray balance almost managed to cope. For the rest of the system requires data on the real possibilities of the display, and not some standard profile sRGB.

Gamma curves have changed significantly and as close to “REFERENCE”. Point gray wedge slightly changed position.

However, to obtain a certificate of compliance UGRA monitor DEXP W240 failed. The problem was in the gray balance.

Unable to fix it and by direct calibration through software Lacie Blue Eye Pro PE and reference spectrophotometer. Something has changed, but the result of Gray Balance remained at the same level. However, in my opinion, with features such color gamut W240 certificate would be difficult to obtain.

Additional features and settings

We monitor DEXP W240 does not have any sensors and sensors (light, proximity), and among the menu options that could further affect the colors, nothing.

The uniformity of the gradients

Despite the use of psevdovosmibitnoy (6-bit + FRC) AD-PLS matrix with the default settings and after manual edits DEXP W240 demonstrated impressive uniformity gradients. Of course, this is not the level of these eight-bit display (of which the market is very limited, and this class is not at all), but very close to him.

But after the calibration occurs somewhat more abrupt transitions dominated by spurious tones (mostly pink and purple). The other from a rather serious revisions through LUT card and was not expected. If the factory setting of the display has been performed more efficiently, then changes after calibration, affecting the quality of the gradients, would be less.

The stability of the color temperature

We continue the study monitor DEXP W240, assess the stability of the color temperature in standard and special image modes.

The results in this table represent the deviation of points on the gray wedge axis X. The vertical axis they do not affect, and therefore to evaluate the presence of parasitic shades can only be on the CIE diagram under “Gamma curves, gray balance and results UDACT».

The stability of the color temperature in the standard mode is average. But when you activate presets Game and Movie it falls by more than half.

Manual tuning in PC mode allows to achieve significant improvements precision setting White Point and reduce bias to 1.07% on average and 3.81% at the maximum. Further reduction leads to calibration of the first digit to 0.89%, and the second, on the contrary, increased to 5.71%. It is likely, and not allowed to expose offset Gray Balance in the test UDACT.

Now consider the results of the special modes Color Temp. Let me remind you that the manufacturer installed by default preset «6500K». Therefore it is necessary to take into account that the values of his column coincide with the results of PC mode from the first table of the sub-test. We can only talk about the three remaining modes DH.

Here it is possible to note the following:

  • Declared in the name of the mode values are not measured – the difference is between 400 and 2000 Kelvin;
  • The most serious deviation from the declared mode is observed in 9300K;
  • The higher the color temperature, the higher the deviation;
  • User mode is very similar to the default 6500K exhibited with differences within the measurement error.

As a result of advice is this – if you are interested in “Reference» 6500K, then immediately activate mode User, and if possible and available instrumentation spend it additional configuration.

Stability contrast and range of brightness

To study the stability of the contrast and brightness range of variation was exposed mode PC. Brightness value changed from 0 to 100% in increments of 10 units. For the table below the measured values were obtained through the program HCFR, which makes it possible to more accurately assess the level of black (three decimal places) and thus determine the validity of the contrast ratio.

The resulting operating range of brightness at the default setting was 41-205 strands at a constant level, the contrast of 285: 1.

The upper bound of the white point luminance of 205 nits can help when working in very bright ambient light in the presence of sunlight. And the lower 41 nits will provide an opportunity to significantly reduce eye strain when working in dimly lit indoor or night.

If desired, make a figure of around 20-25 nits should reduce the value of Contrast in the OSD Menu of the monitor to a level of 50-60%. This will be enough. That’s just the contrast ratio will be even lower and will be no higher than 150: 1. Not very much for a modern display.

Speed matrix and INPUT-lag

In the new matrix is declared with a response time of 5 ms, measured by the method of Gray-to-Gray. To increase the speed of technology OverDrive, apparently, is not used. Let’s look at the results:

Speed matrix DEXP W240 – a classic of the genre IPS- or PLS-making with a disabled or missing overclocking OD. Artifacts are completely absent, loop length standard. On a purely gaming solution Monitor is not drawn, but he would not seek in this niche. It can be called sure middling. Exactly the same as the 27-inch VB-275.

Measured using the average SMTT INPUT-lag on the basis of ten photographs was 6.2 ms (with HDMI connection). The maximum is not exceeded 8 ms, which is a standard result for Full HD solutions.

Viewing angles and Glow-effect

Monitor DEXP W240 – «frameless” solution AD-PLS matrix with the stated viewing angles of 178 degrees both planes, with the fall of the contrast ratio. Let’s look at the results.

According to the above image perfectly clear that strong changes in the image by changing the angle of view (in the adequate range) is not. On the monitor, W240 reduction in contrast with the increase in the viewing angle is slow, but after 60 degrees on the dark areas appear different parasitic shades. The appearance of a yellow hue when viewed from above is clearly seen, the picture is changing, regardless of colorful images on the screen. When displaying white in this position it is metallic gray.

In other words, the horizontal viewing angles hero testing situation is better than vertical. If you change the position of the head to the right or left of center on the opposite side there is a metallic blue tide. This is clearly seen when working in Microsoft office applications and browsing websites with light homogeneous backgrounds. In the more expensive competitors in this segment fared better.

When the diagonal viewing angles decrease contrast, the image covers the sort of well-marked white cloud with a light touch of orange. When viewing from below, this effect is not so much, but the picture becomes slightly darker, especially in the shadows.

The fastest way to consider this feature can be looking at the corner of the screen, is somewhere on the side of the monitor in the dark. Picture illustrates what you should see. Also, it can be judged by the absence of parasitic tone (just reduced contrast lightens shadows) when viewing the image at an angle.

If you change the viewing angle in dark areas and just a black box, you will not see anything special. Glow effect manifests itself as follows IPS-like solutions. Whether it’s made by Samsung PLS or AHVA, released AUO.

Depending on the angle of view, you can see the different shades of parasitic, fading black and turning it into a light gray. If the brightness subtract almost to a minimum, the visibility of the investigated effect can be reduced. We should also remember that the depth of the black W240 at three to four times lower than the competition. This fact affects the visual perception Glow effect.

Uniform illumination and color temperature

Uniformity of illumination of the monitor and the color temperature of the screen on the field tested in 35 points at the set brightness of 187 nits (the possible maximum, after bringing the white point of 6500K mode to PC). The basis for all calculations (deviations) are taken data from a central point.

The average deviation from the center point was 11.7%, and the maximum – 30.5%. The result is below average, especially for such a small diagonal.

Presented on the surface of the diagram, you can clearly see how the brightness level is focused on the field of the matrix. Possible maximum was detected only in the center. Most heavily obscured the entire upper part of the matrix. Initially, the problem is clearly manifested in the work, but later it can be used.

Photo of the monitor with a white background perfectly demonstrates how it looks in person. Uniformity of color temperature on the above picture is average, but the problem with the brightness confirmed.

Now consider the black background, considering it evenly on the two images with different exposures, so you can clearly see all the problem areas got us into the hands of the instance. W240 Y can observe four small illumination at the top and larger at the bottom on both sides of the panel. Clearly visible greenish-yellow stray light.

Separately, I remind you that is closer to reality and the second picture is on it is necessary to estimate the real uniform illumination, without the high sensitivity of the sensor chamber. In addition, the sooner you will encounter Glow effect, which have used a panel W240 is still here, what will suffer from this non-uniformity of illumination on the black in real life.

We now consider the uniformity of the color temperature over the entire area of the screen.

For testing we used manual settings for DH 6500K, the brightness of the white field at the center point was maintained at 187 nits.Result 1.9% deviation on average and 3.6% at the maximum – the complete opposite numbers uniformity in brightness of the backlight. In general, the index is above average.

The resulting color temperature range was 6250-6685 Kelvin, which is more than 150K less than the standard difference between the boundary values at 600K, identified in the majority of tested by our method monitors.

Charting a whole resembles that on the uniformity of brightness, but the deviation is not so significant. Although the overall uneven illumination becomes noticeable.

Power consumption and heat

Through the use of LED backlight monitor provides economical energy consumption compared to CCFL.

With the default settings, in which the measured luminosity of the white box of 205 nits, DEXP W240 model consumes ~ 19 Wh / h.Reduced to 200 filaments 18 leads to Wh / h, and brightness of 100 nit accompanied by a decrease of energy consumption to 12 Wh / h.

Temperature monitor mode after five hours of continuous operation (at a room temperature of 24 degrees) at varying brightness was 28.5-35.2 degrees. Heating uniformity – the average. No discomfort similar heating W240 you do not deliver.

Features (CE, PWM, and others.)

The monitor is used DEXP W240 AD-PLS panel with protective plastic surface and a matt film on top of it. Let’s see how this affects the crystalline effect:

It is presented in all its glory, but this should not be surprising. According to the degree of visibility is comparable with frosted matrices AH-IPS last generation, but more reminiscent of (100% hit) crystalline effect of most of its direct competitors in the “frameless” design with a diagonal 23-23.8 inches. It’s not so bad, and much like old e-IPS and H-IPS, but if QE annoying you in any of its manifestations, we can look at other models – with a glossy film.

Effect of Cross-Hatching used in the matrix is missing.

At maximum brightness Shih modulation does not apply. However, starting from 95%, it makes itself felt. The measured frequency was 260 Hz.

Time such displays PWM has already passed. At least a year trying to produce all brands Flicker-Free monitors what never forget to mention in the features of their new products. DEXP W240, alas, is not one of them.

Conclusion

On the advantages and disadvantages found display DEXP W240 will not be easy to deal with some of its competitors. Yes, the monitor – one of the cheapest in its segment, but not the cheapest, as the previous model tested producer.

What unites W240 models ASUS? Design holder, including its ergonomic features. Here are just material here, though not bad, but still not as high quality, metal inserts hero review is not observed, and perforation of the acoustics made just for speakers behind it is not.

Display DEXP W240 boasts a very thin inner frame, which can be found only in the last Dell Monitors and LG with a little more diagonal 23.8 inches. But from the Shih-modulation frequency of 260 Hz in the backlight unit most well-known manufacturers long ago disposed of.

The monitor is not happy factory setting, the maximum contrast ratio of 300: 1 instead of the claimed 1000: 1, low color gamut with the default settings and problems with the OSD menu. Much compensates for the low price. However, there are serious drawbacks. So it is only wish the manufacturer to fix them in the next revisions of the product. And you, as always – good luck in your choice!

For lovers of read only the conclusions – the main advantages and disadvantages DEXP W240 succinctly presented below.

Pros DEXP W240:

  • Memorable appearance and “frameless” design with a thin inner frame;
  • The quality of the materials used, the assembly and rigidity – all this no special claims;
  • Hassle-touch control;
  • Good quality playback gradient fills, including the following manual settings;
  • Decent speed matrix and the absence of artifacts;
  • Good viewing angles;
  • Uniformity of color temperature on the field of the matrix is above average;
  • INPUT-lag – 6.2 ms on average (with HDMI connection);
  • Lack of Cross Hatching, low power consumption and heat;
  • Low price (especially compared to similar design ASUS Series MX and VX).

Cons Monitor:

  • Not the best factory setting for gamma curves, gray balance and white point;
  • Compliance with the sRGB standard 77% default and 83.1% after adjustment and calibration – very low result for this class of devices;
  • Using Chi modulation in the backlight unit at a frequency of 260 Hz;
  • Glitches menus and dynamic contrast adjustment;
  • Maximum limit ergonomics stand and VESA-compatible mounting absence;
  • Low uniformity backlight brightness level (possibly dependent on specimen);
  • The measured contrast ratio three times lower than claimed.

Can not arrange:

  • 41-205 range of brightness at a contrast ratio of 285: 1;
  • Poor choice of interfaces for connecting and easy delivery;
  • Gradients significantly deteriorate after calibrating the monitor due to the rather strong revisions in LUT card due to not the best factory settings;
  • The lack of built-in speaker system (especially against the background of the design), USB hub, the system cabling;
  • Indistinguishable crystal effect (thanks to a glass protective surface), despite getting a close-up on the result;
  • Average uniformity of illumination on a black background, which is often on the IPS-like matrix;
  • Glow effect is still in place.
