ADATA Premier Pro SP320: SSD chips on TLC

At the last exhibition CES 2015 company ADATA has demonstrated a new series of high-speed SSDs Premier Pro SP320. The main difference is the use of the novelties of the new controller Silicon Motion SM2256, as well as flash chips with three bits per cell (TLC NAND).

The new SSD performed in a standard 2.5-inch form factor and equipped with interface Serial ATA III with a capacity of 6 Gb / s. The use of such an interface is justified, because the data transfer rate of 560 MB / s (560 MB / s read and 510 MB / s write). The series includes models with capacity of 120, 240, 480 and 960 GB. The price of their products manufacturer has not specified, but most likely, it will be lower compared with solutions based on MLC chips and SLC.

According to industry observers, one of the main trends in 2015 will be a large-scale replacement of traditional hard drives SSDs. This can be achieved only if the manufacturers will be able to offer succinct solutions at relatively low prices. And models such as Premier Pro SP320 should help solve this problem.
