With the popularity of 4K format on the market, there are new devices with support for high-definition video. Sony has announced the release of the player PMW-PZ1, which supports playback of 4K-video card memory and focuses on the application of post-cinema-video processing. New version supports a variety of formats and codecs, including XAVC Intra, XAVC Long, MPEG HD422, MPEG HD.
The player is equipped with a card slot for SxS (card for professional camcorders and digital cameras), output HDMI, output 3G / HD-SDI, a liquid crystal display. With new items, the user can, for example, view the video captured camera Sony PMW-F55, directly on the screen, or broadcast the picture to a professional monitor or consumer TV via HDMI. At various events, PMW-PZ1 can be used to output 4K-video on a bulletin board or projection system. Data from SxS memory cards can be copied directly to an external hard drive without the use of additional devices.
As the representative of Sony Professional Solutions division Lucie Wendremaire, play videos in 4K format requires high-performance computers, which can not always be at your fingertips. PMW-PZ1 is a compact and easy-to-use solution for working with 4K.
In the US, the novelty will go on sale in June at an estimated cost of $ 3.5 thousand.
