The board Biostar TA970 Plus is designed for CPUs AMD Socket AM3 +


The company Biostar expanded the range of motherboard with model Biostar TA970 Plus, designed allegedly for use in gaming systems.

The novelty is made on chipset AMD 970 / SB950. It supports work with CPUs AMD FX, Phenom II and Athlon II performed by Socket AM3 +. To install the memory modules DDR3-2133(OC)/2000(OC)/1866 with total volume of up to 64 GB has four connectors.

The board is equipped with five SATA 3.0 ports and connector mSATA for connecting the drives. The formation of arrays of SATA RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 is possible.

There are two expansion slots of each kind: PCI-E x16 2.0, PCI-E x1 2.0 and PCI. Network connectivity implemented due Gigabit controller Realtek RTL8111GR. As part of the audio subsystem 8-channel codec Realtek ALC892 is applied.


At the bar with connectors withdrawn jacks PS/2 for mouse and keyboard, ports USB 3.0 (×2) and USB 2.0 (×6), and a set of audio jacks. The board is made in the ATX form factor; its dimentions are 305 × 225 mm.

Additional features include means of AMD OverDrive and ACC (Advanced Clock Calibration) for overclockers. It should also highlight the system BIO-Remote 2 for remote control of a computer with a mobile device based on Android or iOS.


The price of the motherboard and availability are not specified by Biostar.
